The arts institute and Americans for the arts holds a poster designing competition every year. This is the ninth consecutive year that the organization is holding the competition. As Art Institutes and Americans for the Arts announce ninth annual Poster Design Competition, the registrations for the same starts on February 3^rd 2011. The organization has invited many schools and colleges for their high school seniors and graduated to take part in the competition. These schools belong to various cities of the United States of America, Canada and Puerto Rico. The organization also has announced the theme of the poster making competition – you can create tomorrow.

This gives students enough time to bring in the ideas and create poster which is one of the kind. The main aim of the competition is to search for young talent and also to nurture them. The winners of this competition will be given full tuition fee scholarship to study in any field of art. This can be fine arts, performing arts, cookery, etc. there are 45 educational institutions that the organization manages in the country of North America. Origami is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding, which started in the 17th century AD at the latest and was popularized outside Japan in the mid-1900s. The goal of this art is to transform a flat sheet of material into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques, and as such the use of cuts or glue are not considered to be origami.

The number of basic origami folds is small, but they can be combined in a variety of ways to make intricate designs. The best known origami model is probably the Japanese paper crane. In general, these designs begin with a square sheet of paper whose sides may be different colors or prints. Traditional Japanese origami, which has been practiced since the Edo era (1603–1867), has often been less strict about these conventions, sometimes cutting the paper or using nonsquare shapes to start with.
