The Art Institutes and Americans for Arts are bringing a competition forward for people trying to receive financial aid for the school of their choice. The Art Institutes 2013 Poster Design Competition is the opportunity of a lifetime with giving thousands of dollars to the lucky winners. There are specific rules on how to enter. The individual must be 16 years of age or older, from any of the 50 states of the U.S., Canada (not Quebec), or Puerto Rico. He or she must be a high school senior or high school graduate and enter the competition in the correct categories (one for seniors, the other for graduates).
Entries will be accepted until the deadline January 31, 2012. The poster must be a high resolution file of at least 300 ppi. The artist must write a 500-1,000 word statement explaining why they want to attend one of The Art Institutes schools as well as talk about the meaning behind the poster.
High school seniors must have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale and a 2.5 on the 5.0 scale. High school graduates must have the same requirements. Visit www.aicompetitions.com/poster for more information on rules and requirements.
